  18. DESCRIPTION

  20.     fMSX Amiga emulates an MSX computer on an Amiga. Features include:
  21.  
  22.     - Full emulation of the MSX1 system.
  23.     - Partial emulation of the MSX2 system (to be expanded in the future).
  24.     - Support for reading/writing MSX disks.
  25.     - Support for the SCC sound system.
  26.     - Support for MSX memory sizes of up to 4Mb.
  27.  
  28.     (for those not in the know: MSX is an 8-bit computer system, similar
  29.     to the C64)
  30.  
  31.     Software is not included with the package, but many packages (mostly
  32.     games) can be found on FTP sites:

  39.     Hundreds of games are available from these sites, and some form a
  40.     worthy addition to the Amiga software collection.

  42.     Of course fMSX Amiga is fully multitasking, runs in an intuition
  43.     screen, and has a font-sensitive user interface.

  45. NEW FEATURES
  46.  
  47.     v0.8 at last supports two joysticks!
  48.  
  49.     MSX2 features were expanded. VDP emulation is complete now, and screen
  50.     5 features sprites (admittedly in the wrong color but enough to make
  51.     it useful).
  52.  
  53.     Two more megarom mapper options are now available, and the others have
  54.     been improved.
  55.  
  56.     Many small improvements were made to the user interface, mostly on
  57.     request by users.
  58.  
  59.     v0.8 is quite a bit faster than v0.7, and several bugs were removed.
  60.     The most notable of these is the 'Konami-corrupted-graphics' bug.

  62. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

  64.     Required are:

  66.     - Amiga OS 2.0
  67.     - 68020 processor
  68.     - 400 kilobytes chip ram
  69.     - 900 kilobytes other ram

  71.     Recommended:

  73.     - 68030 processor, at least 25MHz
  74.     - Those 900 kilobytes of 'other' ram had better be fast ram!
  75.  
  76.     Note that fMSX Amiga does *not* require the AGA chipset. In fact
  77.     it runs on any chipset upto and including graphics cards!

  93.     pointers and huge amounts of assembly intermixed with C, you

  98.     for optimized Z80 emulation, or a version that has been optimized
